something like art

Hello there!
I'm Renee.
I'm 19 and this is a blog full of my personal artwork.
I worked hard on every piece, so please credit me if you are using it elsewhere.
Have fun exploring and I hope you like what you find!

Anonymous asked: how did you make your sherlock t-shirt? as in, what was the process.

I made it in my printmaking class. First I got this giant sticker that you drew (or traced) the design directly onto, and then cut out the parts I didn’t need. I then pulled off the remaining parts of the sticker and put it on a printing screen. After making sure the sticker was stuck tight by burnishing it, I taped down the edges. Then I put a piece of wood inside the shirt underneath where I wanted the design to be, and put the screen on top. I used fabric screen printing ink, and put a good helping on one side of the screen, and then used a squeegee to wipe the ink across the screen. When you pull away the screen, the design is left. God that was really hard to explain. I hope it made sense. I don’t know if you would be able to make one outside of an art class, I have no clue where you can buy a screen.
